About This Section

This part of Bench Glass Field Guide is given over entirely to replacement windows in San Bernardino, CA, from first specification through to what the finished work should look like.

Scope

The scope here is deliberately tight. Narrowing the subject is the only way the detail stays accurate long enough to be useful.

No Paid Placement

The site is editorial rather than commercial. It does not perform the work it describes, does not accept payment for a favorable mention, and has no financial interest in which contractor a reader chooses.

What Guides Cannot Do

A page written in advance cannot see the property it is being read about. Any specific property can present conditions that change the answer, which is why an on-site assessment by somebody qualified always outranks anything written beforehand.

How the Guides Are Written

Each guide is built around what actually changes the outcome. Technique belongs to the contractor, so it is covered only where a homeowner's choice depends on it.
